Based on Nomura’s statement it appears Square Enix is aware how this leak happened and is working to correct the situation. Kingdom Hearts 3 fans will also likely be happy to hear that the game’s secret movie and epilogue cannot be leaked because it is going to be added to the game at a later date – presumably at launch. But it is still best to be safe on social media and online for those who wish to avoid spoilers altogether....

Up until today, Kingdom Hearts fans have been expecting a release date for the popular Disney and Square Enix mash-up action RPG in 2018. A final release date was expected to be announced at E3 this year, either during a major console media briefing or Square Enix’s own press conference on Monday, June 11. Today’s release date announcement undercuts those expectations. Another short delay for Kingdom Hearts 3 will undoubtedly be met with disappointment, but is also understanding....

A new posting surfaced on Target this week that highlights November 1, 2018 as the release date for Kingdom Hearts 3. The retailer is currently the only one taking pre-orders under this particular release date, and nothing has been confirmed by Square Enix thus far, but ComicBook snapped a screenshot in case it is taken down. While November 1st makes sense in terms of timing – Square tends to prefer release dates that fall very late in the year – it also raises a few red flags....

Given that Square Enix has not announced early access for the game, it is exciting to know that players around Mexico City will be able to experience a hands-on demo of Kingdom Hearts 3. The latest entry in the Kingdom Hearts franchise was initially announced a few years ago and was fully revealed at E3 2018. The game will see the continuation of the adventure of series protagonist, Sora, together with Donald Duck and Goofy as they embark on several quests while exploring the magical worlds of Disney and Pixar....

Kingdom Hearts has a lot going for it. The franchise started as an unlikely mix of Disney and Square Enix properties. Seeing Mickey Mouse serve as a powerful foil to Final Fantasy-style characters like the main protagonist Sora was something unique that appealed to fans of either property. Since the beginning, the story has largely focused on the adventure thrust upon the three children from Destiny Island. Unfortunately for Kairi, Kingdom Hearts has focused much more on Riku and Sora’s growth throughout the series....

Alas, despite the excitement behind the announcement, there are still plenty of big issues that Kingdom Hearts needs to fix. While the series holds a special place in many players’ hearts, it isn’t without its gaping problems that keep the games from fulfilling its potential. One such problem is the character of Kairi. On top of that, because of some of the new systems that Kirby and the Forgotten Land has introduced, even some veterans of the series may make some mistakes. It’s important to keep in mind some of them as players progress through the adventure....

The presentation of this new Kirby game has several new elements that will delight those who love Kirby’s pleasant aesthetic. Chief among these is Waddle Dee Town, a hub Kirby can return to between levels to rest and spend time with the Waddle Dees he has been saving. There’s also a generally more cinematic approach to cutscenes and gameplay, owing to the new 3D perspective. One of the most interesting new aesthetic touches, however, is something that comes right near the beginning of the game....

The gaming industry’s focus on live-service titles like Fortnite or Destiny 2 mean contained, (primarily) single-player experiences like Kirby and the Forgotten Land can fall out of conversation quick - especially without the promise of DLC. It’s certainly possible that HAL Laboratory is working on Forgotten Land DLC, but even that might come-and-go with little fanfare. The game’s Present Code system could have been a good way to keep fans’ interest over time if handled correctly, so the next Kirby game should keep that in mind....
