In the Presence of the King Missions

Clear the Stage Don’t get hit by Forgo Dedede’s fire attack Clear using a second-level evolved ability Clear the stage in 2:00 Clear without taking damage

While these missions seem rather difficult, especially for Kirby and the Forgotten Land fans taking on the Forgo Dedede fight again for the sake of completion, luckily the game makes the first two relatively easy compared to the other secret objectives.

When it comes to using a second-level evolved ability, luckily players may already have a few by this stage of the game. A fair deal of them can be unlocked by finding their Blueprints in Redgar Forbidden Lands itself. These include abilities like Meta Knight Sword, Space Ranger, and Blizzard Ice.

How to Beat Forgo Dedede

Beyond the ability mission, making sure that players don’t get hit by Forgo Dedede’s fire attack may be the easiest mission associated with this stage. Despite that, there are a few attacks that Forgo Dedede uses that deal with fire, so fans should be careful to avoid them all.

His fire tornadoes can be easily dodged by remaining in the air and floating around as he strikes. He will also watch where Kirby is standing as he uses another attack regarding fiery pillars of lava, but using Kirby’s Perfect Dodge can make these pillars easy to avoid.

When it comes to trying to beat Forgo King Dedede in under two minutes, the trickiest part of the challenge is most definitely the possessed penguin’s second phase. As a result, the strategy players need to hone in on to complete the mission is making sure they deplete the first phase’s HP as fast as possible.

One method of finishing this boss fight quickly involves using Perfect Dodge and its counterattack capabilities. Using Copy Abilities like Space Ranger that can attack Forgo Dedede from far away and Waddle Dee’s Item Shop’s Attack Up item may help players as well.

For fans tackling this boss and relying on the Perfect Dodge technique to beat the boss quickly, they should keep in mind that it’s possible to counterattack Forgo Dedede’s Ground Pound move, and is recommended for quick damage in an otherwise difficult spot in the fight.

While Perfect Dodging can help with making sure fans don’t take damage and can easily deal damage back, they should avoid the moves they have difficulty dodging and use abilities that can tackle Forgo Dedede at a distance.

Using the Sword ability to take advantage of its full health beam attack is not only great for keeping away from Dedede as he attacks but also serves as a reminder to players that if they no longer have the beam, they’ve taken damage at some stage.

Completing these missions most likely will take a fair few tries out of players, and it’s highly unlikely they will complete them all on their first playthrough. With enough practice, however, fans should be able to save all seven Waddle Dees.

With In the Presence of the King cleared, players might not have to worry about boss-related Waddle Dee missions, as Lab Discovera lacks missions.
