Even though the main 20th anniversary celebrations of Kingdom Hearts already concluded in April 2022, Square Enix has since continued to provide the community with game updates and news about upcoming official products. Despite the lack of information for the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts 4, some updates featured the series’ mobile titles like Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link and Dark Road. In terms of merchandise, Square Enix opened preorders for mouse pads, Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary Walkman and earbuds, and this special vinyl LP box collection.

On the Japanese Twitter account of Square Enix Music, the company released official information about the Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary vinyl LP box. According to the website, the product will cost 16,500 yen, which is around $125 USD. The release date for the vinyl box is only a few months away, on March 22, 2023. The collection will be housed in a box that features the 20th anniversary visual theme, and each of the three analog records will be packaged in the key illustrations of the original Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, and KH 3.

The website also shared that there will be a total of 36 tracks included. Some of the tracks named include the original Kingdom Hearts theme “Dearly Beloved,” “Dive into the Heart -Destati-,” “Traverse Town,” and an instrumental orchestra version of “CHIKAI.” To tie into the whole 20th anniversary, the soundtrack used to introduce the Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer during the event’s livestream, “Reality in the Dark,” will also be included on the vinyl records. What’s more, those who purchase the collection will also get a limited-edition card, with a stand, of the 20th anniversary illustration featuring the four versions of Sora.

Unfortunately, Square Enix has yet to announce if this Kingdom Hearts vinyl LP box will be available to fans outside of Japan. As of now, only those who have a Japanese Square Enix online store account can preorder the collection. With so many fans in love with the Kingdom Hearts series around the world, hopefully Square Enix will also open preorders of the vinyl LP box beyond Japan’s borders.
