This figure of classic character Mai Shiranui is based on her KOF’ 97 femme fatale look. In addition to the figure, it comes with two head sculpts, an umbrella for her to hold, a fan that can be posed open or closed, an additional fan giving a fire effect, Mai’s cloth, six interchangeable hand poses, and a stand or base. Mai is wearing her default outfit from her classic image, a red and white uwagi with matching red hand guards and tabi-style shoes. She has a white rope around her shoulders and two large red and white orbs at the ends of the white sash around her waist.

With Mai Shiranui being a popular character for The King of Fighter and Fatal Fury series, she is also the female face of SNK and a famous female character among fighting titles. Although her suggestive figure has been censored and adjusted in multiple countries over the years, she is still the most used in promotional art, game arts, themes, and merchandise.

In addition, this figure isn’t the only Mai Shiranui figure in line for this year. Japanese production and design company Kotobukiya has also been working on a Mai figure. However, unlike this figure, it is a static figure and a new entry in its Bishoujo figure series. This version of Mai is expected to launch in September 2022 and will cost around $200.

Pre-orders are open for Mai until February 25, 2022, and many fans of the femme fatale on Twitter have already pre-ordered or added Mai to their carts. While anticipating an awesome year for fighting titles, players can add Mai as this figure would make an excellent collection piece.

The King of Fighters 15 is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 17, 2022.
